They are to be quizzed in relation to the murder of a 15-year-old school boy.
• A mother and her two sons were detained by homicide detectives in connection with the murder of 15-year-old Videsh Dookran, moments after the two boys emerged from the Golden Grove Prison after securing bail in an unrelated matter on Tuesday 18th October, 2022.
• Dookran was found murdered a short distance from his home in the Ste. Madeleine police district on Sunday 9th October, 2022. He was cremated the following Sunday.
• The detained mother and her two sons are not the persons referenced initially in the media regarding Dookran’s murder.
• The two male suspects had been arrested and charged with alleged possession of ammunition by officers of the Southern Division CID, were granted bail and released from prison custody yesterday afternoon.
• The suspects are expected to be interviewed by officers of the Region 3 Homicide Bureau of Investigations in relation to Dookran’s murder, along with their mother.
