Minister of Public Utilities Marvin Gonzales said he is aware that the transformation of WASA may come with a political price.
However, he is also cognisant that persons being unable to have a reliable supply of water comes with a political price adding that he’s not aware that officials of the PSA, which is the majority representing union for WASA workers, receive complaints about water from citizens on a daily basis.
Gonzales spoke at Thursday’s press briefing where the restructuring of WASA was announced which would see at least 213 managers being sent home.
