Merissa Edwards was laid to rest at the St. Mary’s Public Cemetery following a funeral service at the house of mourning at John Elie Road Ext, Freeport, on Friday 07th October, 2022.
39-year-old Merissa Edwards of John Elie Road Extension was found dead at Exchange Link Road Couva on Monday 26th September 2022.
• Edwards an administrative clerk at the university of West Indies was reported missing on Monday 19th September after she was last seen on Sunday 18th September, when she was reportedly picked up by her boyfriend Simeon Roopchand. He was a suspect in her disappearance.
On Saturday 24th September
51-year-old Simeon Roopchand from Hosein Street Bank Village, Carapichaima, was found hanging from a tree near Damien Road, Tabaquite, on Saturday 24th September, 2022. His red Nissan Almera motorcar was found abandoned in the area last Tuesday 20th September, 2022.
