A man identified as 52-year-old Brendon Babaste was gunned in Waterhole, Cocorite on Tuesday 04th April, 2023.
• Around 5:45pm, officers responded to a report of a series of loud explosions in Waterhole, Cocorite.
• Upon their arrival, they discovered Babaste slumped in a chain on a porch of a home along the roadway, suffering from multiple gunshot injuries.
• Shortly after, Babaste succumbed to his wounds and his body was viewed by the district medical officer, who ordered it to be removed to the forensic science centre in St James, where a post-mortem examination would be conducted.
