Jason Purcell aka “pompey” and “fatboy”, an alleged gang leader, according to police, was shot and killed at Nelson Street, Port-of-Spain on Saturday 20th August, 2022.
• Around 10:20 pm, Purcell was standing outside his home, at the entrance to apartment building 47-49, Nelson Street, when gunmen approached and opened fire on him.
• Members of the Inter-Agency Task Force Strike Team responded to the shooting and Purcell was taken to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
