9-year-old Jamal Modeste, was gunned down as suspects opened fire on a group of men at the basketball court at African Grounds in Enterprise Chaguanas on the night of Saturday 15th October, 2022.
• Modeste was declared dead at the Chaguanas District Health facility after he was hit by a stray bullet.
• The suspects were in a white panel van, which they had stolen from a bakery earlier. the vehicle was subsequently found abandoned by police in enterprise.
• Jamal, a standard two pupil of the Carapichaima RC School, was playing at the facility when he was hit by bullets intended for other persons.
