INVESTIGATIONS ARE CONTINUING INTO AN INCIDENT IN WHICH A 17-YEAR-OLD TEENAGER ALLEGEDLY THREATENED TO SHOOT UP HIS SCHOOL, THE PENTECOSTAL LIGHT AND LIGHT FOUNDATION HIGH SCHOOL IN TOBAGO YESTERDAY WHICH RESULTED IN HIM BEING BARRED FROM SITTING THE CSEC EXAMINATIONS…
• THE INCIDENT BEGAN ON TUESDAY AFTER THE BOY SAT THE ENGLISH EXAMS AND HE REPORTEDLY BEGAN BEHAVING IN A DISRESPECTFUL AND DISRUPTIVE MANNER.
• HE RETURNED TO SCHOOL YESTERDAY BUT WAS BARRED FROM ENTERING THE COMPOUND AND HE ALLEGEDLY THREATENED TO RETURN WITH A GUN AND SHOOTOUT THE SCHOOL WHILE OUTSIDE IN THE ROADWAY. A REPORT ON THE INCIDENT WAS SUBSEQUENTLY MADE TO THE POLICE.
• WHEN ASKED ABOUT THE INCIDENT EARLIER TODAY AT THE POST-CABINET MEDIA BRIEFING, EDUCATION MINISTER NYAN GADBSY-DOLLY WAS MADE AWARE OF SUCH BUT THE DIVISION OF EDUCATION AT THE TOBAGO HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY WAS DEALING WITH THE INCIDENT.
