A shooting in Maloney Gardens, left one man dead and another injured on Sunday 16th April, 2023.
• The deceased was identified as 35-year-old Miguel Butler aka “Meeks” of Maloney, who was employed with blue waters, while the injured man was only identified as “Fighta”.
• Around 4:15pm, both men were liming outside building 5 at Everglade Avenue in Maloney Gardens, D’Abadie, when a silver Nissan AD Wagon approached.
• Four armed men alighted from the vehicle and fired several shots at the duo before re-entering the car and making their escape.
• Butler died at the scene, while “Fighta” ran a short distance away and collapsed.
• “Fighta” was taken to the Arima District Hospital where he was treated and warded.
