A man identified as 54-year-old David Francis Rodriguez was found stabbed to death in Arima on Saturday 15th April, 2023.
• At about 9:15pm, Cpl Rampersad and PC Dass were on mobile patrol in Maurice Avenue, Arima, when they were informed of a body that was found lying motionless under a mango tree near the Nutones Pan Yard.
• When the officers went to the location, they discovered Rodriguez’s lifeless body with a stab wound to the left side of his head.
• The officers contacted the DMO who visited the scene, declared Rodriguez dead and ordered his body to be removed to the Forensic Science Centre pending an autopsy.
