Two (2) men were shot and wounded in Wallerfield, Arima on Sunday 11th June, 2023.
• The victims were identified as 65-year-old Waldron Brooks a former national boxer and 23-year-old Randy Estrada a security officer.
• Around 8:45am, the victims were standing near a shop on Orchid Drive, Wallerfield, Arima, when two masked men armed with guns approached and opened fire on them before fleeing the scene.
• Estrada sustained gunshot injuries to his chest while Brooks was shot in his right arm.
• Passersby who witnessed the incident, took the injured men to the Arima District Health Facility where they received medical treatment.
