Another fatal accident at the end of the highway in Debe…
24 hours after four (4) men, on their way to a party in Debe, escaped death after they were involved in an accident at the end of the highway in Debe, a man was killed in the same area this morning.
The deceased was driving a Honda City motor car, Reg. No. PEA 9039, south along the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway in Debe when the car crashed into the concrete barriers used as a Roundabout.
Fire officers had to cut open the mangled wreck in order to access the victim’s body.
The accident happened just after 3am on Sunday 31st July, 2022. The CNG tank in the vehicle did not explode during the accident.
There have been calls from residents in the community, even after yesterday’s near-fatal accident, for better lighting and signage for motorists approaching the end of the highway referred to as a “death stretch”.
