AFTER WAITING FOR HOURS IN THE CARPARK AT THE SOUTHERN ACADEMY FOR PERFORMING ARTS (SAPA), HOPING TO MEET THE INTERVIEWERS FOR EMPLOYMENT AT THE ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISE SHIP, HUNDREDS OF PERSONS ENGAGED IN A STAMPEDE AS THEY BREACHED THE LINES AND RUSHED TOWARDS THE BUILDING WHERE THE INTERVIEWS WERE TAKING PLACE.
THE ACTIONS OF THESE PERSONS DEMONSTRATE THE LEVEL OF DESPERATION THERE IS FOR JOBS IN THE COUNTRY, EVEN AT A TIME WHEN TSTT TOOK A DECISION TO SEND HOME OVER 400 WORKERS WHICH WAS TEMPORARILY BLOCKED BY THE INDUSTRIAL COURT.
