His friends called him for “ah weed smoke”, made him dig his own grave and then tried to kill him…
A Gasparillo man, identified as Omari, was beaten, made to dig his own grave then shot by one of seven men he went to “take ah smoke with” on Friday.
The victim was beaten, abducted and placed in the back of a van and taken to a busy area at Spring Land, Caratal Road, Gasparillo.
Omari managed to survive after one of two bullets fired at him grazed him on the forehead while lying in the shallow grave.
He played dead and when the men left the area Omari made his way out of the grave and ran to Jules Street where he sought assistance and the police were notified.
Omari was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital for medical treatment and Crime Scene Investigators went to the scene Spring land off Caratal Road, Gasparillo where they recovered items of evidential value.
The suspects, who are all known to the victim, are being sought by Gasparillo CID.
