Meanwhile, the head of the scrap iron dealers association, Allan Ferguson, confirmed that six (6) scrap iron workers were arrested by police on Friday 19th August, 2022 and were expected to appear in court.
• The association, he said, sympathizes with the men who were legitimately involved in the sale of scrap metal.
• Ferguson said the association has provided support to those arrested and charged, adding that he understood their plight, given that their livelihood was stripped from them.
