Gunmen opened fire on a group of persons who were gambling killing one and injuring two others in a well-organised and coordinated attack at Penco Avenue in Longdenville on Sunday 14th August, 2022.
• The deceased has been identified as Sheldon St. Clair aka Heads of Penco Avenue, Chaguanas.
• Two other persons were also wounded during the shooting. One of the victims was shot in the buttocks while the other was hit seven times in the stomach and remains critical in the hospital.
• Around 11pm on Sunday, several men were gambling near a residence at Penco Avenue in Longdenville, when a car drove by and two men emerged.
• The car drove around to the other side of the street, and several other armed men emerged and waited for the informant a resident leading to the roadway.
• The suspects then opened fire on the gamblers who fled through the yard and as they attempted to escape on the next side of Penco Avenue, they were greeted by gunfire by gunmen who were waiting for them.
• St. Clair, who lived in the area, collapsed near a concrete pillar and the suspects approached him and shot him several times killing him at the scene.
