Four men, who held a Mayaro businessman and his family during a home invasion in Mayaro, were shot and killed by police on Monday 3rd October 2022 during an alleged shootout at the scene.
• According to reports the unidentified man was tied up along with his wife and daughter with duct tape at their home in Krista Park housing development in Beaumont road, Mayaro.
• Police stated that officers responded to a report and upon arrival, they entered the premises when they were shot at by the suspects.
• The team of officers, therefore, returned fire and shot four men who subsequently died. Four firearms were also retrieved from the crime scene.
