Former U.S President Donald Trump pleaded not guilty to 34 felony counts for falsifying business records

• Trump made history as he became the first ex-president of the United States to be charged in a criminal case after he was booked, fingerprinted and arraigned on Tuesday 4th April 2023.

• The indictment against Trump alleges that he was part of an unlawful plan to suppress negative information, including an illegal payment of $130,000 that was ordered by the defendant to suppress the negative information that would hurt his campaign in 2016.

• Trump was accompanied by armed agents of the secret service
to the Manhattan district attorney’s office, which is in the same building as the courthouse.

• There, Trump was booked by investigators and his mugshot may have been taken, however if it was it would not be made public.

• Trump’s lawyers are also concerned that a possible leak of the photo could taint Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign.

• Trump made his way back to Florida where he will be addressing the charges laid against him at 8:15pm
