• 30-year-old Stevie Guy and 42-year-old Larry Venus were shot with Venus dying from his injuries when police officers opened fire on them at the Salybia Fishing Depot early on Wednesday 12th October, 2022.
• Two other fishermen, who said they witnessed the entire incident, said they were at an upper-level storey building at the beach keeping watch on the boats and engines on the seashore when the shooting happened.
• The fishermen said there wasn’t an exchange of gunfire as both men were shot while walking towards a boat where Venus has earlier forgotten his pair of spectacles.
