• Minister Dr. Nyan Gadsby-Dolly made the statements in a Facebook message on the eve of the opening of the new school term tomorrow, Monday 5th September, 2022.
• Also, Monday is expected to be a “day of rest and reflection” for teachers across the country.
Dr. Dolly’s statement: “On behalf of Minister Lisa Morris-Julien, and the staff and Executives of the Ministry of Education, I would like to wish our over 300,000 students, our parents, teachers, administrators, and all education stakeholders a productive and rewarding Academic Year 2022/23, which begins tomorrow, September 5th, 2022, and ends on July 7th, 2023.
This is the first academic year since 2019 that sees us physically opening our network of over 800 public schools; we are grateful.”
