Speaking at the post-cabinet press briefing earlier today, Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley, said insinuations that he or the Government were attacking Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) Roger Gaspard are false.
• Dr Rowley went on to say that he made no allegations but instead a statement of fact about a government tenancy in a private building that was rented by contract for three years for a particular purpose.
• He referred to his comments at a recent PNM meeting where he said the space had been rented and renovated for the DPP’S office but allegedly had not been occupied for some time was a waste of $45m worth of tax payers’ dollars.
