Christine Kangaloo has been elected the Seventh President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago by the Electoral College.

Christine Kangaloo was officially appointed as the seventh President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, at the meeting of the Electoral College on Friday 20th January, 2022.
Kangaloo won by a vote of 48 with contender Israel Khan receiving 22 votes, with three of the ballots being rejected.
