There were reports of a bomb scare near Express House along Independence Square, near the Cathedral Church in Port of Spain, on Thursday 16th March 2023.
• Around midday, several buildings, including the one that houses the Trinidad Express newspaper and the CCN TV6 television station, were evacuated after a bomb threat.
• Police officers cordoned off a number of streets and ordered people to evacuate several buildings on said street.
• Drivers were also rerouted and pedestrians were prevented from passing near the cordoned-off areas.
