A man was shot and killed in Enterprise, Chaguanas on Wednesday 19th April, 2023.
• The deceased has been identified as 44-year-old Melvin Phillip aka “Big Boy” who had several sexual offence allegations made against him and was also labelled as a well-known pest in the enterprise area.
• Around 8:15pm, Phillip was reportedly cleaning his blue Mitsubishi Lancer which was parked beneath a shed outside his home, when he was confronted by two men.
• The suspects, both dressed in all-black clothing, wearing face masks and armed with guns opened fire on big boy before fleeing the scene.
• Crime scene investigators later visited the scene where they recovered 11 projectiles and 34 9mm spent shell casings.
• Insp Stewart, sgts Modeste and Andrews from the central division and homicide detectives Sgt Deo and pc Ramouthar were among the officers who visited the scene.
• Melvin was reportedly staying in Tobago, and was gunned down hours after he returned to Trinidad.
