Bandits waited in the yard of the home of an Arima businessman for him to arrive last night then proceeded to rob him of thousands of dollars and his $400,000 vehicle last night.
• Police said around 8pm on Tuesday 6th December 2022, the 45-year-old man arrived at his D’Abadie Arima home in his Nissan Moreno vehicle, registration PCX 9447, when he was accosted by three armed men who were already in his yard.
• The suspects, police said, dragged the victim out of his car and proceeded to beat him about the body after they announced a robbery.
• Police said the man was relieved of his black Samsung S10+ cell phone valued at $4000.00 TT, and the suspects then entered his vehicle, which had an envelope on the front passenger seat which contained $70,000.
• The victim is the owner of a store in Malabar Arima and police believe the suspects had inside information on his whereabouts and the facts that he may have been in possession of thousands of dollars which represented proceeds from his business.
