Another Hindu Mandir has been vandalized, this time in Siparia.
• The desecration was discovered by devotees of the Siparia Shiva Mandir on Monday 06th March 2023.
The vandals reportedly broke through a gate at the Mandir on High Street, Siparia and uprooted sacred religious flags (Jhandis) on the compound.
This is the third mandir to be desecrated since May last year.
• In May 2022, the Carapo Shiv Mandir in Arima was desecrated with corned beef, an insult to Hindus who consider the cow a sacred animal.
• Four months later in September 2022, the Carli Bay Mandir was also desecrated and a biblical scripture from the book of Exodus was painted on the walls.
