Anger, rage and fiery protests erupted in several parts of Claxton Bay on Tuesday 16th August, 2022, in response to the Government’s six (6) month ban on the export of scrap metals.

• Dozens of angry young men who hustle in this industry are upset and angry and promise to continue with their protests for 6 months.

• They said banning the export of scrap metals for six months will deny them the opportunity to provide for themselves and their families adding they were not involved in the theft of TSTT cables or WASA brass fixtures.
