An unidentified man, believed to be in his mid-60’s was knocked down and killed while attempting to cross the Churchill Roosevelt Highway in El Socorro early on Monday.
• The incident happened shortly after 1am in the middle lane on the Eastbound Lane of the highway near Boundary Road Extension.
• The vehicle was being driven by an off-duty female security guard assigned to SWAT Security Services who was in company with her 17-year-old daughter. The teenager had to be taken to hospital for medical treatment after glass from the shattered windscreen entered her eyes.
