An altercation between two men at Jaipaulsingh Trace Barrackpore on Friday 22nd July, 2022, resulted in one of them being chopped to death and another seriously wounded at the hospital.
• 36-year-old Amit Boodoo, a fisherman of Jaipaulsingh Trace, was involved in an altercation with another man known to him outside his home.
• Both men began chopping each other with cutlasses. They were separated by villagers and relatives and conveyed to the Princes Town District Hospital where Boodoo died.
• The other injured man was transferred to the San Fernando General Hospital for additional treatment. The incident took place around 5:30pm on Friday.
