Ako Matthews was cremated months after he and two others were found murdered off the North Coast Road…
Three (3) months after Ako Matthews, his girlfriend 21-year-old Alexsia Edwards and 20-year-old Robin Sancho Jr. were found murdered, Matthew’s relatives were able to bid him farewell after DNA tests confirmed one of the burnt remains was him.
Last month, DNA tests came back from abroad which confirmed Matthews as one of the victims found off a precipice near his home and business along the North Coast Road in Maraval on Monday 25th April, 2022.
On Friday 8th July, 2022, Ako’s relatives and friends were able to say their final goodbye during a funeral service held for him at the Long Circular Crematorium Chapel where he was cremated.
Ako’s relatives have expressed a heartful thank you to all those who supported them during their time of grief.
Ako’s brother, 37-year-old Kwasi Matthews of Blue Basin Road, Diego Martin, was later charged by Cpl Antonio Pereira of the Region 1 Homicide Bureau of Investigations with the triple murders.
