According to Augustine, Duke, the political leader of the PDP party which won the THA elections last December, has not been doing his job and several decisions taken by the executive council have not been implemented.
Deputy Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly Watson Duke has slammed the THA for abandoning a group of Tobagonians who travelled to New York on a cultural trip, forcing them to remain hungry and sleep among dead rats in a basement.
• In a video posted on social media on Wednesday night, Duke sought to defend his travel to New York saying he was forced to come to the aid of the group who were left stranded by the THA.
• Duke called on the “hot shots” and “decision makers” within the THA to do the right thing and send the necessary finances to the group of 27 persons who are due back in the country on Monday.
