A WOMAN, WHO WAS THREATENING TO JUMP FROM THE TOP FLOOR OF THE GOVERNMENT PARKADE AT RICHMOND STREET

A WOMAN, WHO WAS THREATENING TO JUMP FROM THE TOP FLOOR OF THE GOVERNMENT PARKADE AT RICHMOND STREET IN PORT OF SPAIN WAS PULLED TO SAFETY BY A POLICE OFFICER EARLIER TODAY.
• THE INCIDENT CAUSED A COMMOTION ALONG RICHMOND AND NEIGHBOURING STREETS AS PASSERS-BY TRIED TO COAX THE WOMAN TO COME DOWN TO SAFETY BUT SHE IGNORED THEM.

• A POLICE VEHICLE THAT WAS PASSING IN THE AREA WAS STOPPED AND OFFICERS WERE INFORMED OF THE SITUATION. THEY WENT TO THE ROOF AND ONE OF THE OFFICERS WAS ABLE TO PULL THE WOMAN TO SAFETY. SHE WAS TAKEN TO THE NEARBY CENTRAL POLICE STATION ON ST. VINCENT STREET.
