A vessel operating in heritage petroleum’s north acreage field sank after an accident this morning:

• The vessel, which belongs to the Trinity Lifeboat Services, a subsidiary of the trinity group of companies, went down in the Gulf of Paria.

• According to the vessel’s owner, the “Lifeboat Daniela” was engaged in a routine operation preparing to leave well s822 when it developed a “list”.

• The captain made the decision to abandon the ship and all crew and personnel were evacuated and taken to the base in Point Fortin.

• Trinity assures that there were no injuries recorded.

• Its vessel now sits on the sea floor and all protocols, including pollution control measures, have been implemented.
