A Venezuelan man was shot and chopped to death during an invasion at his South Oropouche home late last night.

A Venezuelan man was shot and chopped to death during an invasion at his South Oropouche home late last night.
• The deceased has been identified as 23-year-old Daniel Gonzales of Pond Road, Aripero Village, South Oropouche.
• He died inside his home after he was shot and chopped by several men armed with guns and cutlasses.
• Police said around 10:30pm, a neighbour heard rumbling followed by several gunshots. The police were notified and officers of the Oropouche Police Station responded and later found Gonzales bound and shot to death in the living room of his apartment.
• Crime Scene investigators found and seized 3 spent 9mm shell casings with the markings “TTPS”; a cutlass; and 6 spent 5.56 shell casings at the scene.
