A Tunapuna man, described as a well-known car thief, was shot and killed at Sawmill Avenue in Barataria on Sunday
• 28-year-old Nkosi Lewis of Pasea Street in Tunapuna was shot and a series of gunshots rang out in the area on Sunday 29th January 2023. The shots were heard within the San Juan, Barataria and Morvant communities and many commentated there may have been a shootout.
• After being shot, Lewis was taken to the Mt. Hope hospital where he was declared dead. A motive for the incident remains unknown but police believe it is gang-related.
