Tragedy struck a transport company in freeport as a truck driver was crushed to death by a container which became dislodged on Monday evening:
• The incident happened shortly after 6pm at Sampson’s Transport company limited, located at Mission Road in Freeport.
• The victim has been identified as 43-year-old Nigel Rampersad, a father of four children of Felicity, Chaguanas.
• The incident happened while Rampersad was driving a truck while towing a trailer on the company’s compound.
• The truck reportedly jack-knifed causing the container to fall unto the right side of the truck’s cabin, crushing Rampersad to death.
