Northern division police are bracing themselves for more bloodshed following three murders recorded in the area mere days apart which included a father and son being gunned down in daylight shootings…
Murders continue unabated with another brazen killing recorded in the Tunapuna district a stone’s throw away from the Tunapuna police station.
• The victim has been identified as 50-year-old Kerwin Warner of Pasea Road extension in Tunapuna who was shot at his business place on Friday 2nd September, 2022.
• Warner was approached by a man while at Barney’s Variety store along the Eastern Main road between St. Vincent Street and Tunapuna Road when he was approached by a man who shot him multiple times about the body.
• He was taken to the Eric William’s Medical Sciences Complex in Mt. Hope where he was declared dead. The shooting happened as parents were making last-minute shopping for school supplies for their children as schools are set to reopen on Monday 5th September.
• At his Tunapuna home, a female relative who remained inside but recorded members of the media with her cell phone, declined any comment.
Son was killed days earlier not too far away…
Kerwin Warner’s son, 22-year-old Kester Warner aka Kessy also Pasea road extension, Tunapuna, was shot and killed at a car wash along St. Vincent Street in Tunapuna on Tuesday 30th August, 2022.
• Kester died at the scene of the killing which happened at the corner of St. Vincent and Francis Streets in Tunapuna which is around the corner from where his father was killed at his business place.
