A taxi driver was gunned down after he refused to drop two passengers off-route on Tuesday night.
• 38-year-old Robert Cudjoe of Petit Bourg, San Juan was shot in the head by one of two male passengers after he refused to drop them at an off-route location alone Warren Roan in Cunupia late last night.
• Around 11:30 pm on Tuesday 6th December 2022, officers responded to a report of a shooting along the Uriah Butler Highway and upon arrival, in the vicinity of the Charlieville walkover, they observed a silver Nissan seven-seater Serena registration number HCA 168 on the western lane of the highway.
• Officers made a further check and observed the deceased slumped on the driver’s side of the vehicle with a gunshot wound to the back of his head.
• Cudjoe picked up two male passengers on the Curepe taxi stand and upon reaching the vicinity of Warren Road along the highway, one of them asked to be taken inside the same road but the driver refused and was shot in the head. The men then escape on foot.
