A suspected bandit was shot and wounded and later held at a nearby health facility after he attempted to rob a business place at St Lucien Road in Diego Martin on Friday 9th September, 2022.
• The suspect, who remains under police guard at the Port of Spain General Hospital, attempted to rob Automents Limited when the holder of a license firearm opened fire on him.
• He fled the establishment, leaving behind the car he came with and ran straight to the nearby Diego Martin Health Centre for medical treatment where he was detained by police.
