• The deceased was identified as 35-year-old Nicholas Sebro aka “Chi Chi Man” of Yoland Pompey Avenue, Phase 7, La Horquetta, while the injured victims were identified as 33-year-old Nathan Simon of Diego Martin and 45-year-old Bernice Sampson of Caroni.
• Around 12:35pm, first Responders, PC John, PC Williams received a report of a shooting and proceeded to O’Meara Industrial Estate in Malabar near MIC.
• Upon arrival at the scene, the officers observed a silver Hyundai Creta registered PDS 6178, parked along the roadway.
• Upon their investigation, they discovered Sebro in the driver’s seat with several gunshot wounds about the body and head.
• The officers subsequently cordoned off the scene and interviewed persons who stated that two other persons were also shot and were conveyed to the Arima Health Facility.
• The officers also summoned a DMO who visited the scene, made her pronouncement and ordered the body removed pending a post-mortem examination.
• SERU personnel processed the scene and recovered 8 spent 9mm shell casings and 8 spent 5.56 shell casings along with 1 live round of 9mm ammunition and 1 live round of 5.56 ammunition.
The last murder that was recorded in Malabar was on Friday 17th May, 2024, when 42-year-old Kevin Hospedales aka Scrapes was shot and killed along Pope Avenue.
