A SHOOTING AT ST THOMAS STREET IN TUNAPUNA, LEFT TWO (2) MEN INJURED ON WEDNESDAY 29TH MARCH, 2023.
• AROUND 8:00PM, THE 46-YEAR-OLD VICTIM WAS IN THE COMPANY OF HIS 31-YEAR-OLD FRIEND WHEN HE WENT TO COLLECT CLOTHES AND OTHER VALUABLES AT HIS DECEASED FATHER’S HOME IN ST. THOMAS STREET.
• AS BOTH MEN EXITED THE HOME, THEY WERE ACCOSTED BY A MASKED MAN WHO OPENED FIRE, HITTING BOTH VICTIMS, BEFORE ESCAPING ON FOOT.
• THE POLICE WERE SUBSEQUENTLY ARRESTED AND THE VICTIMS WERE TAKEN TO THE MT HOPE HOSPITAL WHERE THEY RECEIVED MEDICAL TREATMENT.
• THE 46-YEAR-OLD WAS REPORTEDLY TREATED FOR A FLESH WOUND TO THE LEFT SIDE OF HIS BACK AND WAS LATER DISCHARGED WHILE HIS FRIEND WHO SUSTAINED A GUNSHOT INJURY TO HIS LEFT ARM WAS TREATED AND WARDED IN STABLE CONDITION.
