A shooting at a construction site in Coconut Drive, Morvant, left one dead and two others injured on Friday 25th November, 2022.
• The deceased has been identified as 24-year-old Omari Besson, a laborer at poinsettia drive, coconut drive Morvant.
• while the injured victims were identified as 27-year-old Jamal John of Upper Geranium Drive, Morvant and a man only identified as Errol of Geranium Drive.
• The three men were working on a box drain job site along Geranium Drive when a white ad wagon registered PDK 8690 approached.
• Four (4) armed men exited the vehicle and opened fire on the victims.
• The victims attempted to flee the scene, however, the suspects followed them into a nearby yard, where they killed Besson, before making their escape.
• Cpl Ali, PC Narine and PC Morris of the North Eastern Division Task Force responded to the report where they found besson’s lifeless body in the gallery area of the home he ran to.
• the other two (2) victims were taken to the Port of Spain General Hospital.
