A security guard identified as 40-year-old, Steven Noriega, was killed after a sliding gate at a property under construction fell on him while on duty in El Socorro on Wednesday 13th July, 2022.
• Noriega was found dead under a gate at the NWT enterprises compound at global avenue El Socorro south just after 2am on Thursday 14th July, 2022.
• He was discovered dead under the gate, with a wound to the head, hours after he was not heard of and failed to respond to wireless transmissions and calls to his cell phone.• Noriega, who lived in Arouca, was employed with Special Forces Security Services limited. At the time of his death, he was on duty at another facility being constructed by the company which does not have any electricity at the moment.
