A San Juan man was gunned down at an auto repair shop at the corner of Third Avenue and the Eastern Main Road in Barataria on Tuesday 14th September, 2022.
• The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Josimar Nero of Shende Street, Sunshine Avenue, San Juan. He was declared dead at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex in Mt. Hope.
• Around 8:54am, officers of the North Eastern Division’s Traffic Unit were on mobile patrol when they responded to a report about a shooting at Third Avenue.
• When they got to the scene, they observed Nero on the ground and there appeared to be signs of life. He was placed in the tray of a van which was escorted to the hospital but he was declared dead.
• Reports are that a man walked up to the victim and opened fire on him. A car, which police believe Nero was driving at the time of the incident, crashed into the fence at the business place.
