A San Fernando man was gunned down the day he turned 28 years of age outside his Embacadere home.

A San Fernando man was gunned down the same day he turned 28 years of age outside his Embacadere home on Saturday.
• 28-year-old Sherlon Cooper of apartment 304 Block P, Embacadere, San Fernando, was declared dead at the San Fernando General Hospital around 7:26pm.
• Around 7:05 p.m. on Saturday 18th February 2023 PC Guerra, PC Ramlochan and PC Francis of the Southern Division Task Force were on mobile patrol when they responded to a report about a shooting at Embacadere.
• When officers got to the scene, they were informed by residents that Cooper was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital in a private vehicle.
• Around 7pm, several loud explosions were heard in the area and Cooper was later found by a relative with gunshot injuries about the body lying on the 2nd floor of his apartment building.
• Crime Scene investigators found and seized 9 spent 9mm shell casings and 3 projectiles at the scene.
• Among the officers who visited the scene were Inspector Ramlogan, Sgt Elvin, Ag Sgt Deo and WPC Mohammed, PC Bhola of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations is probing the incident.
