A pensioner was found dead in her bed at her Gasparillo home on Tuesday 20th December, 2022:
• The victim was identified as 88-year-old Evelyn Piper who was discovered dead at her Chariah Street, Parforce road, Gasparillo home.
• After 9:00am, Piper was discovered by her 97-year-old husband, a Petrotrin retiree.
• Her mouth and jaw appeared to have been burnt away and an autopsy was ordered into her death.
• Nicole John, one of her caretakers was baffled when she heard the news as she left the victim who is bedridden in good condition yesterday.
• Evelyn, was a victim of physical abuse at the hands of her husband and officers of the Gasparillo police station have visited the home on many occasions in the past.
• Evelyn who was married to her husband for over 50 years never had any children of her own.
