A man from Church Street North, Samaroo Village, Arima, was held with a one-pop homemade gun which was concealed in a food box.
The suspect, who is known to police, was found seated inside a 24-seater maxi-taxi which police officers intercepted near Boys Lane, D’Abadie around 8:15pm on Thursday 14th July, 2022.
Police said they also found a cigarette box in the suspect’s pants pocket which contained one live round of 5.56 ammunition.
