A newborn baby girl was found alive in a black garbage bag near the psychotherapy department of the San Fernando General Hospital on Monday 22nd August, 2022.
• Emmanuel Pierre, who has been hailed a hero, was at the san Fernando General Hospital regarding an appointment when he saw a black bag moving and heard the sounds of a baby.
• He wasted no time in opening the bag and checking its contents only to make the shocking discovery of a newborn baby girl inside.
• Pierre immediately raised an alarm and the security and nurses were notified. The toddler was immediately rushed to the nearby accident and emergency department where she was treated.
In a media statement issued earlier today, the southwest regional health authority confirmed a toddler was found on the hospital’s compound and was being treated and cared for by medical professionals.
