A Morvant man is in critical condition at the hospital after his brother and his brother’s stepson attempted to kill him on Saturday.

• 47-year-old Noel Fermin Of Mon Repos Road, Morvant, was at his home when he had an exchange of words with his brother.

• A police report states that the brother threatened to kill Fermin and left the residence.

• Around 1:15am on Saturday 28th October, 2022, Fermin was at his home when his brother and his brother’s stepson returned armed with firearms and tied him up.

• He was then placed inside a Nissan Almera motor car registration PBX 3363 and two television was stolen from his home by the suspects.

• The suspects, the police report added, drove to Hillside Road at Mon Repos Road, took Fermin out of the vehicle and fired several shots at him.

• Fermin pretended to be dead and the suspects drove off.

• Officers of the North Eastern Division responded to a report about a shooting in the area around 1:30am and they discovered Fermin in a crouched position on the roadway with his hands’ bounds, nursing gunshot injuries.

• He was taken to the hospital and on the way, he reported to police that his brother and his brother’s stepson had attacked him.

• Four spent shells were recovered at the scene and Fermin remains warded in critical condition at the hospital.
