A Moruga man was arrested while watching TV at his home in connection with the stabbing death of a fellow resident which happened approximately three months ago…
• The 47-year-old suspect was held by officers of the Southern Division Task Force at his Moruga home on Thursday 27th October, 2022.
• The suspect is expected to be interviewed by officers of the Region 3 Homicide Bureau of Investigations in connection with the murder of 44-year-old Anton Bacchus of Edward Trace was stabbed to death by a man known to him during an altercation in early June.
• Bacchus was stabbed multiple times about the body around 9:15pm on Thursday 2nd June near Golden Castle Bar at Edward Trace during an altercation with a man known to him.
• He was taken to the Princes Town District Health Facility and was able to tell the police who attacked him. Bacchus succumbed to his injuries around 3am the following day while being treated at the San Fernando General Hospital.
