• A Moruga man is expected to appear before a Princes Town Magistrate today, charged with the murder of Anton Bacchus, which occurred on Friday 3rd June, 2022.
• Bevon Mollineau, 42, of Edward Trace, was charged with the offence following advice received from Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard SC, on Monday 31st October, 2022.
• Bacchus, 44, a security guard, also of Moruga, was in the vicinity of a bar in the area on Thursday 2nd June, 2022, when he got into an altercation with another man.
• During the incident, the victim was allegedly stabbed multiple times in the body. He was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital, where he died on Friday 3rd June, 2022.
• A male suspect was arrested in connection with the incident on October 27th, 2022, in the Moruga district.
• Investigations were supervised by Insp. Jones of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI), Region Three.
• Mollineau was charged by WPC Rampersad, also of HBI Region Three, on Monday 31st October, 2022.
